People sometimes mean Galatians 6:7-8: whatever a person sows, that is what he will also reap. Paul ties it to God, who is not mocked, not to fate.

Not in the Bible. Origin uncertain.

## What the Bible says instead

> Do not be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows, that is what he will also reap. The one who sows to his own flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
