# Is AI in Revelation?

> No. The Bible never mentions artificial intelligence, and Revelation does not predict it. The passages people link to AI, the speaking image of Revelation 13 and the increase of knowledge in Daniel 12:4, describe worship, deception, and the end of history, not a technology. AI could be used for deception or control, as printing presses and radios have been, and Christians should watch for that. But Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour, and he told his followers to stay awake and faithful, not to decode the news. Read Revelation as a whole, and keep your hope in Christ.

## Daniel 12:4 is about a sealed book, not a search engine.

Daniel 12:4 in the Lumin Translation: “But you, Daniel, close up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will rush here and there, and knowledge will grow.” It is often shared as a prophecy of computers and AI. In context, Daniel is told to seal his vision until the end. Many interpreters read “rush here and there” as people searching for understanding, and the knowledge as understanding of the vision itself when its time comes. Christians differ on the details, but the verse is about God’s timing, not about technology.

Revelation 13 is the other passage. A second beast deceives the earth and gives breath to an image of the first beast, so that the image speaks and people who refuse to worship it are killed. A talking chatbot makes the comparison tempting. But the image is defined by forced worship of the beast, not by speech. Every generation has matched this chapter to its newest machine. Jesus’ own teaching points the other way: Matthew 24:36, “But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

## Stay awake. Do not set dates.

These passages teach Christians how to hold prophecy while the headlines change.

### No one knows the day or the hour.

**Matthew 24:36** — If Jesus says the timing is hidden, claims that AI proves the end is near go further than Scripture does.

### Not for you to know the times. Be witnesses.

**Acts 1:7-8** — When the disciples asked about timing, Jesus redirected them to their mission. That is still the posture.

### The hidden things belong to God.

**Deuteronomy 29:29** — What God has revealed is for us to live by. Speculation about which technology is in which verse is not.

### The image is about forced worship.

**Revelation 13:14-15** — The chapter describes deception that demands worship of the beast. Watch for anything that asks for that loyalty, whatever its form.

### Do not be quickly shaken.

**2 Thessalonians 2:1-3** — Paul warned a church unsettled by claims that the day had come. Alarm is not the same as watchfulness.

### Come, Lord Jesus.

**Revelation 22:20** — Revelation ends in hope, not dread. Christians long for Christ’s return. They do not need to fear a machine.

## When the videos get loud.

End-times content about AI spreads fast. Here is how to respond.

### A video says AI is the image of the beast

**Read Revelation 13 yourself.** The image is tied to worship of the beast and to killing those who refuse. A chatbot answering questions is not that act.

### Someone says Daniel 12:4 predicted AI

**Read Daniel 12 whole.** The verse is about sealing Daniel’s vision until the end. Christians read the details differently; none of them need AI to make sense of it.

### You are anxious that AI means the end is coming

**Bring the fear to God.** Jesus told his followers not to be alarmed and to stay faithful. Read Psalm 46 and talk with a pastor.

### AI is used for surveillance or deception

**Oppose the evil, not the calendar.** Christians can resist lies and abuse of power in any age. That does not require naming the date of the end.

### A friend uses AI prophecy videos to share the gospel

**Share Christ, not speculation.** If the prediction fails, the gospel gets blamed. The resurrection is a firmer place to start.

### You want to understand Revelation well

**Read it with the church.** Revelation is full of Old Testament images. A good study Bible, a pastor, and patient reading help more than headlines.

## Common questions

### Is AI in Revelation?

No. Revelation never names artificial intelligence. The passages linked to AI describe worship, deception, and judgment, not a specific technology.

### Is AI mentioned in the Bible?

No. The Bible does not mention artificial intelligence. It gives principles for any technology: truth, human dignity, worship of God alone, and love of neighbor.

### Is AI the beast in Revelation?

No. The beast is a power that demands worship and persecutes God’s people. The guide on the image of the beast reads Revelation 13 in context.

### Did Daniel 12:4 predict AI?

The verse says knowledge will increase at the time of the end. In context it concerns Daniel’s sealed vision. It is not a prediction of computers or AI.

### Is AI a sign of the end times?

Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour. Christians can take AI’s dangers seriously without treating it as a countdown. Stay faithful and ready always.

### Is AI the mark of the beast?

No. In Revelation 13 the mark is bound to worship of the beast. Using an app or a chatbot is not that act. The guide on the mark of the beast reads Revelation 13 with chapter 14, and covers implants and digital ID.

### What should Christians do about AI and the end times?

Read Revelation as a whole, refuse fear, resist deception, and keep your hope in Christ’s return. Talk with your church about how your tradition reads prophecy.

### Does Lumin predict the future?

No. Lumin is a Bible companion that cites Scripture you can open. It does not prophesy, set dates, or decode current events.
