Before You Scroll is a Christian focus app developed by Andrew Kittridge.
It uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to help you pause with Scripture
before opening apps or websites you choose to protect.

Information We Collect
Before You Scroll is designed to work with minimal personal data.
- Screen Time selections: The apps, websites, or categories you choose through Apple's Family Activity Picker. Apple provides opaque selection tokens; the app does not need readable app names to apply protection.
- Focus settings: Unlock duration, selected intention, daily routine times, protection state, and whether a routine started protection.
- Pause history: Pause completion time, verse reference, unlock length, and selected intention so the app can show progress such as weekly rhythm and 30-day review.
- StoreKit purchases: Subscription entitlement state, plan level, restore status, and purchase messages handled through Apple's App Store systems.
- Support messages: If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include in that email.
How We Use Information
- To apply and clear Screen Time shields for the apps and websites you choose.
- To restore protection after an unlock window ends.
- To run daily routines and one-tap family routine presets.
- To show pause history, streaks, active days, and minutes reclaimed.
- To verify subscription access, free-trial eligibility, and restored purchases through Apple.
- To respond to support requests.
Where Information Is Stored
Focus settings, Screen Time selection tokens, routine state, unlock state,
and pause history are stored locally on your device and in the app group
shared with the Screen Time extensions. The app uses this shared state so
the extensions can apply protection and restore shields at the right time.
Subscription purchase information is processed by Apple through StoreKit
and your Apple ID account. We do not receive or store your full payment
card details.

Before You Scroll uses FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity
to let you select apps/websites, apply shields, schedule routines, and
restore protection after an unlock window.
Apple StoreKit
Purchases, free trials, subscription renewals, cancellations, refunds,
and restore purchases are handled by Apple.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not use the app to show third-party
advertising. We may share information if required by law or to protect
the rights, safety, and security of users, the developer, or others.
Your Choices
- You can change protected apps and websites in the app at any time.
- You can turn off Screen Time permission in iOS Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can request help with data questions by emailing support.
Children's Privacy
Before You Scroll may be used by families, parents, and teens. The app
does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
without parental consent. If you believe a child provided personal
information through a support request, contact us and we will address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The latest version
will be posted on this page with the updated date.
